Bhikshaalaya Darshana-3
(Mantralaya Rayaru’s
stay in Kumbhakonam)
Date
: 13 July 2006
Background
The busy Schedule of Sri Appanacharyaru in Bhikshaalaya
and Mantralaya Rayaru’s
stay in Kumbhakonam are described in Bhikshaalaya(3).
Meaning
The Gurukula -school-university of Sri Appanacharya was fully blossomed in
Bhikshaalaya in the midst of nature. The teaching of Vedas, Upanishadas,
Shastras were all in accordance with the sachchhastra of Sri Madacharya. The
Natural pure environment has further purified the heart and mind of the
students. Sri Appanacharya was found always with his beloved students and liked their company very much. A
born teacher with full of knowledge and imagination. A great orator an
extempore writer spontaneously on any subject (Aashu
Kavitva). Though the personality of Sri Appanacharya is of this stature , he never exhibited his pride, greatness and made
the show of his knowledge. Very easily accessible to all the sajjanas,
satvikas, devotees in general and the students
in particular. Appanacharya was like a Banana tree full of Bananas. The banana
bows and bends when it adorns the fruits. This type of personality of Gurudeva,Acharya,Bhiksahaalaya Sri Appanacharya is highly
remarkable. Never tired of teaching, taught with affection
and devotion. The fortune and punya of the students of Sri Appanacharya
cannot be described in words.
Day
and night the routine of Sri Appanacharya was the worship of Goddess Saraswati
that is teaching and preparing his students in studies. The students after the
completion of their studies were reluctant to separate from their Guru
Appanacharya and Bhikshaalaya, what an amount of love and affection the
students had in their hearts towards their Guru. When we simply imagine this
scene, our heart fills with joy, regard and respect to
this great Guru of Bhikshaalaya Sri Appanacharya.
Again
the flow of new shishyas growing in number at
the sanctum of Bhikshaalaya on the sacred bank of Tungabhadra. As the river
water is sweet, the Guru’s lessons were much more sweeter than the water. The Shishyakoti of Sri
Appanacharya were capable of Madhwa Sanchara - the
propagation of Sri Madacharya Philosophy. Harisarvottama and
Vayujeevottama. Sri Appanacharya we can say was
very famous and popular in those days for Hari bhakti, knowledge and
sachchhastra. Sri Appanacharya was completely involved in his own world of
Knowledge at JAPADAKATTE in Bhikshaalaya.
On
the other side our Sri Raghavendrateertharu was
in Kumbhakonam. Rayaru completed the Yatra of all the punya kshetras. Owing to
the improper means of transport facilities and
comforts the yatra took years together.
Where
ever Sri Rayaru went propagated and upheld the Dwaita Siddhaanta and brought
the satvikas in the fold of Hari Bhakti. Served the sajjanas, satvikas
benefitted a lot and planted the saplings of Bhakti-Hari Bhakti. During yatra
also Rayaru was indulged in consoling the devotees,adhyayana-adhyaapana
and engaged in creative writing. The routine of Rayaru is a model to the
universe. In Kumbhakonam Sri Raghavendrateertharu performed the Seva of Sri Vijayeendrateerthara Brindavana whole heartedly
and highly satisfied with gratitude. The personality of Rayaru is nothing but
the incarnation of the essence of Hari Bhakti.
Long
back Rayaru had been to near by Adoni during Sanchara. At that time Rayaru blessed the cattle rear Venkanna. By the
blessings of Rayaru and chanting OM SRI RAGHAVENDRAAYA NAMAHA Venkanna phase by phase became the Diwan of Nawab and was
called as Diwan Venkanna Panth. After the completing the yatras when Rayaru was
in Kumbhakonam, Rayaru desired to go to Adoni near by Manchale Bichchale and see Venkanna. So Rayaru sent the message to Venkanna
that he is coming ! Venkanna the Architect of Sri Math
became extremely happy and was eager to welcome Rayaru ...will be continued in the next Mantralaya Series
