The above shloka  is quite sufficient to describe the greatness and the Mahima of our Goutama gotra Guruvamsha bhooshanaru Sri Vadeendrateerthara. During the days of Sri Vadeendrateertharu the political situation was completely perturbed by chaos and confusion. Today’s subordinate king will not be the king Maandalika to the next few days. The Inam of lands and villages gifted to the mutt validation was changing frequently. This pendulum effected a lot. Sri Vadeendrateertharu tried to get back -  the Bhageeratha  is highly praise worthy in the history of our Rayaramatha and the settlement task continued without any brake. Sri Vaddendrateertharu is the direct descendant of our Mantralaya Yatiraat Gururaat Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru, the great grandson Poutraru of our Rayaru, grandson of Sri Laxminarayanacharyaru, son of Sri Purushottamacharyaru purvashhrama name Sri Srinvasacharu is our Sri Vadeendrateertharu. During the Sanchaara in Madras - Tamilu Naadu the idol of Sri Vaikunthha Vsudevamurty was stolen. Sri Vadeendrateertharu a great logician expert in Tarka got back the stolen idol is not an ordinary thing. It is the Sankalpa of Sri Hari Vayu Sri Guru Raghavendrara swamiji that all our Rayaramatha Paramahamsa Peethhaadhipatees are all highly knowledgeable and Bhakti Gnyana Vignyana Vairagya paripurnaru. Well versed in all the branches. At the same time very kind, affectionate, tolerance, amicable with smile and full of imagination. Sri Vadeendrateerthau completely resembles like our Sri Raghavendrateertharu in many ways.

Atyanta Chaanaksharu Chaturaru Nyaya Tarka Gnyana Paandity

Through a miracle saved the precious life of Mantralaya devotee Surpur Sri Anandadasaru. Actually he was coming from Ganadhaala. He was in Japaanushthhaana since five days. Suddenly remembered that the JAPARATA ARADHANA DAY is tomorrow only. Reached the bank of Tungabhadra. It was in spate and overflowing. Searched for the local boatman. A boatman appeared there, asked to take him to Mantralaya. Boatman said now we cannot go, waves are strong, simply washed away in the forceful current. Sri Anandadasaru went on pleading to put the boat and to go to Mantralaya. At last he agreed and started the boat, as they went  water surrounded and encircled. Water started filling in the boat. At this juncture Sri Anandadasaru decided that drowning Tungabhadra is sure and certain. Closed his eyes and started the pathhana of Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra,

Mantralaya Prabhu listened the pathhana of Gurustotra of his dearest devotee Sri Anandadasaru and immediately reached near the bank of Tungabhadra along with Sri Vadeebdrateertharu. Threw the rope to the river, the boatman immediately tied the rope to the boat.

Sri Raghavenndrateertharu and Sri Vdeendrateertharu started pulling the boat, the boat reached safely to the bank of Mantralaya. Sri Anadadasaru with gratitude thanked the both and asked may I know your name. They said I AM RAGHAPPA and HE IS VADEPPA. Surrendered to their feet, suddenly disappeared! Sri Anandadasaru decided that Sri Rayaru and Sri Vadeendrateertharu came to the rescue and pulled the boat. Tears rolled on his cheeks. While climbing the steps of the north gate of RAYARAMATHA IBHARAMAPURA SRI APPAVARU LODLY SAID SMILINGLY! ANANDADASARE YOU ARE SAVED FROM DROWNING. Entered the garbhaalaya and performed deergha danda namskara to our Rayaru and Vadeendrateertharu.
