It is heartening to know that our great Sri Vyasarajaru suggested to our Sri Surendrateertharu that Sri Sudheendrateertharu must be the successor of Sri Vijayeendrateertharu and he himself (Sri Vyasarajaru) will be the successor of Sri Sudheendrateertharu. Amazed to know the sacred circle of strong desire to WORSHIP SRI MOOLARAMADEVARU. Ourbeloved Peethhaadhipati Parama Poojya Sri Subudhendrateertharu celebrated the Aaradhana with devotion and grandeur in accordance to the rich heritage and the high tradition of our Vidyamatha on Pushya Shukla Dwadashi.

Sri Raghavendrateertharu’s meticulous Vyaakhyaana and Tippani of BHAAVADEEPA and the appropriate meaning of GO-D-AAVARI are described in Mantralaya(812).

Meaning

Satvika Vipras, Rushimunees desired to go back to their homes and native towns. So they all decided to meet Sri Goutamaru and seek the permission to leave the ashrama and return to their respective places. Great Rushivarenya Sri Goutamaru was unwilling to depart from them, they became too close and dear owing to the long stay of twelve years resulted to cordial relations with them. Said, why do you wish to go back, stay here only, what difficulties you are facing right now! Continue your stay in Ashrama here only. But the desire to go back to their respective places became strong! At the same time Parvatidevi decided to send Gangadevi from the head of her husband Shiva Rudradevara, as Ganga is residing. Told the same thing to her son Ganapati. Ganapati said I will act in accordance to your order. Swami Gajanana was completely aware of the things going on at the Ashrama of Goutamaru. Straight Ganapati reached the Ashrama and met all the inmates of Ashrama including Bramins and all the Rushimunees. They all reported that they are eager to return to their native places and Goutamarushivaryaru is unwilling to send us. Now this is the problem we are facing! Do not worry, any how you are well versed and expert of gnyana,sugnyana,vignyana and earned the siddhi of Tapobala.

Why do you think so much about this! Owing to your Siddhi take out a few stalks of DARBHAA and prepare the cow now only. The cow will start eating the rich green paddy. Sri Goutamaru will come out soon and said loudly HEY! HEY! Taking a single stalk of DHARBHAA Goutamaru will throw at the cow. The mere touch of the Darbhaa the cow will fall and die soon! Then you all have to say in one voice, that you have killed this cow! You have attained Gohatyaa Sin. Unless you do the sampokshana and Tarpana of Ganga water to the cow, you will suffer from this sin. We can’t stay here even for a single minute and will not accept food and water. Saying these words they all left the ashrama. Goutamaru felt extremely sorry towards the death of the cow and acquired GOHATYAA DOSHA without any fault of his! All these vipras, rushimunees stayed here during the grave famine time not a year or two, but for twelve years but forgotten. To go away from this ashrama, they used the power of Gnyana and Tapa. Soon he got angry and cursed them to forget the knowledge and the power of Siddhi, Gnyanabala and Tapobala. The impact of Time has made all this! Kind hearted Sri Goutamarushi repented for the curse. As a result of the curse the great knowledge Veda Shastra of Viprakula started diminishing and also the Tapobala. Not only that, even the bliss and the beauty of the girls of viprakula is also not so encouraging. The wedding of girls and the boys of viprakula has also become a problem! The effect and the impact of the curse of our Sri Goutamarushivaryaru has not reduced considerably. Let us pray to our Goutamagotrodbhava Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru to wipe off the effect of the curse. The simple game to fulfill the desire costed more! As it will be forwarded and carried out to the next coming generations. So we should be careful to take such decision of playing with Gnyanees. The main drawback we are facing today is only this and nothing more.

We should not forget the path on which we have walked happily, safely and successfully. The sense of gratitude should always be remembered. If we do not have that sense of gratitude means that we are not human beings but devils The Kannada proverb says: ARITARE MAANAVA MARETARE DAANAVA. Human beings are owning mind and heart. Heart impels to respond to the right cause and the mind to remember the right things, such as gratitude, love, affection and proud. Today the question is before us! For no fault of Rushivarya Goutamaru got the sin of GOHATYAA soon he decided to wipe off this black spot. Engaged in Japa and Tapa for a very long time and finally became successful in bringing the Sacred Ganga on this earth to do Samprokshana and Tarpana to the cow and finally saved the cow. GO - DA – VAARI. Got ridoff the Dosha of GOHATYAA. So the river got the name as Godaavari. Became famous and popular. We are highly indebted to Sri Goutama rushivaryaru in many ways.
