The Miracle of Ibharamapura’s Appa to the devotees and how Appa was blessed by Bichali Sri Appanacharya Priya Mantralaya Rayaru are described in Mantralaya(209)-Ibharamapura Darshana-9
It is my privilege to share with you all pertaining to the devotees of Mantralaya Rayaru. These are all true with facts and figures. Sri Yogi Narayanacharyaru has described in Ibharamapura Stotra Maala about Appa who was his close follower, a close associate and always lived like Shishya to Appa. Appa’s wordings carried much weight as the wordings uttered by Appa have definitely proved fruitful. In the same way the magic touch of this great devotee of Mantralaya Rayaru proved miracles. When Ibharamapura’s Appa touched a thing with Sankalpa remembering Rayaru, proved sankalpa siddhi, have taken a new life, new birth and new vision. The kind touch of Appa’s hand proved fruitful to abundant devotees of Karnataka at that time. Ibharamapura’s Appa was always ahead on the line of spirituality.
Sri Aralikatti Raghavendracharya a sober, satvika, sajjana lived in accordance with the guide lines of Sadaachaara of Sri Madhwacharya very close to Appa, once while talking he detailed to Appa regarding his daughter’s blindness. Though she was beautiful but born as blind. Appa heard this and took pity about the poor girl.Once Appa was passing through the house of Sri Aralikatti. The blind girl was sitting on the platform (Katti) in front of her house. Appa remembered Mantralaya Rayaru and thrashed on the back of the girl. The girl went weeping inside saying that Appa has beaten on her back. Parents came to see her, for their great surprise they were overwhelmed to see that their daughter who was blind by birth got the eyes eye sight drushti their daughter can see the world happily and enjoy the life. The parents joy knew no bonds. The magic touch of Ibharamapura’s Appa which was fully Blessed by Mantralaya Rayaru gave drushti laabha to the devotee’s daughter. The news spread like a wild fire. People came to the house of Sri Aralikatti Raghavendracharya and praised the Miracle of Appa and Mantralaya Rayaru.
It is heartening to note that day when Sri Ashwathamacharya putting his hand Blessed Ibharamapura’s Krishnacharya(Appa), said that you will get the Anugraha of Mantralaya Rayaru, Mantralaya Rayaru will always be in your heart i.e.Sannihita, that you will perform Miracles and help the devotees at large, had become true. These Miracles have done good things Lokopakaara. Appa always immersed in the realm of Mantralaya, remembering Sri Rayaru , happily spent the routine. Once Appa had been to Mantralaya and taking the Darshana of Rayara Moola Brindavana. There was a devotee by name Jeevannaraya who was blind by birth was in Mantralaya performing the seva of Sri Gurusarvabhoumaru. When all were doing namaskara to Appa, Jeevannaraya also knew that Appa had come, he too touched the sacred feet of Appa and did namaskara with devotion. Appa was standing behind Jeevannaraya and asked Jeevannaraya, Jeevannaraya have you taken the Darshana of Rayaru? He replied no how can I see Rayaru, I am a blind by birth. He uttered with great pain and felt extremely unhappy owing to his blindness (andhatva). No Appa how can I see, I am blind by birth. Appa knew the desire of Jeevannaraya, took pity on him. Appa touched his back.Immediately Jeevannaraya gained the eyesight. Saw Mantralaya Rayaru, Ibharamapura’s Appa and the whole sacred vicinity of Mantralaya.Felt quite happy to see all this.
After a short while Appa asked Jeevannaraya do you want your outer eyes to be opened like this always? Immediately Jeevannaraya replied, after seeing Rayaru, Appa and Mantralaya he is unwilling to see the other things. The worldly happenings full of Arishadvargas. So the outer eyes are not required but requested Appa that the inward eyes should also be kept opened, please do that ! Appa did the same. Here the importance of eye sight to Jeevannaraya was only to have the darshana of Rayaru. So Appa fulfilled that strong desire and blessed a lot.Jeevannaraya preferred blindness of outer eyes, and always desired to open the inner eyes- inward eyes. Such selfless devotees were at that time. Sri Yogi Narayanacharya has said Ibharamapuradheesha stotra maala:
JanmandhopyeKadakaschitParamaHastena Drushtimaan
KinchitKaalamVidhaayaYathaPoorvamkalpayat.
Our Ibharamapura’s Appa has provided Eyesight to a born blind, fulfilled his desire of Rayara Darshana by the Blessings of Mantralaya Rayaru. Whatever things are offered to Rayaru Rayaru immediately offer to Sri Hari with samarpana bhaava, in the same way Appa all the regard, respect and punya offered to Rayaru and became highly grateful with gratitude.
Here again we simply remember the shloka of Bichali Sri Appanacharya’s Gurustotra:
AndhopiDivyaDrushtihiSyadedaMookopaVaakpatihi
