Background

The arrival of Mantralaya Rayaru's great devotee Ibharamapura Appa to Mysore and the great cordial and the fruitful  meeting of the Maharaja of MysoreMummadi Krishnaraja Vodeyara are described here

Meaning

The name and the fame of Ibharamapura's Appa spread through out the length and the breadth of our country. Mysore city welcomed Bichali Sri Appanacharya Priya Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha's great devotee Appa. As per the large number of devotees request Appa reached Mysore and stayed in a devotee's house, near the palace of Maharaja.

Sri Indiresha Dasaru has described in Krishnarya KathamrutaSaara:

Chaarutara Mahisurupuradolu
Uadara Mahimanu Mereda Vaibhava
Saaravennoshavallavendigoo Apparavaagihudu

Appa walked in Mysore with divine pomp, proved and showed how  Rayara Mahima is protecting the Manukula. Mantralaya Rayaru was always with Appa - sada sannihita. In the city of Mysore  Appa stayed in a devotees house, in that house they  were facing severe problems, difficulties. They were not single but in chains. The kind Appa knew everything by his Aparokshagnyana, solved all of them during his stay and saved the family from all the dangers by the wicked icy hands which were endangering daily. The satvika bhakta bent with gratitude to Appa. The residents of Mysore came to know this act of kindness of Ibharamapura's Appa and felt extremely happy about Appa. News spread like a wildfire, people came to that house where Appa stayed, took his darshana and received the Blessings of Appa.

The Maharaja of Mysore Sri Mummadi Krishnaraja Vodeyar came to know this and his heart throbbed to see this divine personality and take the Blessings of Appa. At the same time Ibharamapura's Appa appeared in the dream of Maharaja and invited him to meet. Maharaja thought that Appa is not too extraordinary. The dream of Brahmi Muhurta persuaded to meet soon without any daily. So he decided to go like an ordinary man and disguised himself and early morning Maharaja went to meet Appa. At that time Appa was meditating(Dhyaana). So out side the house waited. To whose darshana the citizens were awaiting for hours together in the palace and mere smile of Maharaja, they felt as their luck and favour  that King - Maharaja was waiting for Appa that too outside the house in Mysore.Soon Appa knew that the Maharaja had come and waiting for his darshana. Here we realize that how great was our Appa.

As soon as the King entered immediately with great devotion fell on the sacred feet of Appa with deergha danda namaskara. Appa welcomed and talked affectionately as though they knew each other before and became very close. The cordiality of divine relationship made Appa to accept the invitation of Maharaja.By the very first darshana of Appa Maharaja was highly pleased. They talked and discussed several matters pertaining to Bhaktiu and Gnyana , religion and philosophy.

The king invited and requested Appa to visit to his palace, make the palace sacred by the Paadadhooli of Appa. Appa said ok I will come to your palace definitely, but put forward one condition to the king that Appa wanted one thing that was with the king, and Appa desired that and the Maharaja has to present Appa without fail. The king happily and readily agreed. Said with all humbleness that what ever things are there in his kingdom, they all belong to Appa and very happily Appa can accept as peer his will and wish. After getting this assurance Appa agreed and fixed the programme of visiting the palace of Maharaja, which was like the palace of Indra.

Maharaja sent Pallakki, Elephants and all the paraphernalia, Mangalavadyas and made elaborate arrangements to welcome this great soul in the grandest  style . But   Ibharamapura's Appa  did not sit himself in the Pallakki, A great soul, a great devotee of Bhikshalaya - Bichali Sri  Appanacharya Priya Mantralaya Rayaru  placed the Pooja Pettige in the pallakki and walked in the streets of Mysore. Flowers showered from all the sides. The citizens and the satvikas of Mysore simply surrendered and gave their hearts to Appa. The procession of Ibharamapura's Appa is a record in the history of Mysore. Indiresha Dasaru has beautifully described the procession in the sacred book KRISHNAMRUTA KATHAASAARA. Covered the whole distance by walk and Regarded Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama.

Mantralaya - Ibharamapura - Bhikshalaya - Bichali - Uttanoor - Cheekalaparavi - Manvi - Chippagiri - Kosigi (Koushikakshetra) - Budamaladoddi - Gaanadhaalu - Anegondi Navavrundavana Malakhed - Yergol - Paajaka - Udupi are all the sacred places to the devotees and the satvikas. The Sajjanas will never forget and will always remember Yergol, The Shankhu shape cave, theSannidhaana of Sri Jaiteertharu, In Yergol our Vibudhndrateertharu took Ashrama here only by Sri Ramachandrateertharu the tenth pontiff from our Sri Madacharya Parampara. - the founder of our Rayara Mutt. Ibharamapura's Appa accumulated a total sum of all the punya of these sanctums and thus a great devotee of Mantralaya Rayaru.
